7th 2023 APIS Foreign Language Singing Contest Won!
Korean singer-songwriter Ahn Ye-eun’s “Dream of an Octopus” is a famous Korean pop song known for its literary lyrics and traditional Korean vocal style. Starting with “I am an octopus, dreaming octopus,” the song is a masterpiece that uniquely expresses the wandering and energy of teenagers who struggle with what they should do, as our appearance can change freely as we imagine and dream. Middle school students worked hard to prepare and perform this song on stage, and they won an award in the Korean language section. It was a magnificent moment when our students’ diverse talents, passion, and efforts shone. I hope our students’ colorful dreams will come true.
MS Group Video for APIS Promotion, “Welcome to APIS!”
The video tour of the school served as an excellent tool for introducing the campus to new students and visitors. Moreover, as a way to pass on the torch to the incoming students, they collaborated on a video that provided useful information and insights about the school. Creating videos allows students to visually remember important moments and experiment with digital storytelling. Additionally, the project challenges students to bring each scene to life accurately and creatively. Please enjoy it!
The objective of this project is to enable students to apply their knowledge of the Korean language and culture learned in class, and work collaboratively with their peers to problem-solve and think critically about the learning process. The project aims to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment by producing a video that introduces the school’s culture.
Students worked together to create a video showcasing a significant location or their favorite part of the school in the Korean language. They recorded their experiences throughout the day and add voice-over narration to share their insights.
