Our Grade 1 and 2 students understood the meaning of the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” the historical background contained in its lyrics, and elevated the emotions embodied in Korean culture through singing. In the process, they designed traditional Korean fans “Bu-chae” and showcased the beauty of the traditional Korean fan dance “Buchaechum” through collaboration on stage. Their sincere and confident attitude at the 7th Foreign Language Singing Contest was nothing short of impressive and they expressed the Korean elements in the song wonderfully.
